James (Jim) Guthrie,
owner. On July 5,
1960, Mr. James M. Guthrie came to Orangeburg to became the general
manager of Superior Motors on the terms that he would be able to
purchase the dealership and by May 2, 1963, James became the owner of
the Superior Motors. James Guthrie was agraduate of the University of
North Carolina with a B.S. in Business Administration.
James had worked for General Motors
Acceptance Corporation for almost five year after graduating. He then
moved on to become the sales manager for LexingtonMotors in Lexington,
North Carolina and continued his employment there until he came to
Superior Motors. |

Jimmy Guthrie,
owner/president. Jimmy
attended Wofford College then transferred to the University of North
Carolina - Chapel Hill. He graduated with a BS in Business
Administration in 1977. Jimmy has worked in all areas of the
dealership and received training at General Motors Institute in
Flint, Michigan in 1982. He became dealer principal of Superior
Motors, Inc in 1991. Jimmy was awarded a Honda Automobile franchise in
1992 and opened Superior Honda at 282 John C Calhoun Drive in
Orangeburg. His other business interests have included White House
Motors, Western Sizzlin' Steak House, commercial rental property
and timberland. |

Sales |

Steve Shaw,
sales manager.
Steve joined the Superior team in 2008.
He has been in the automobile industry for more than 20 years. |

Tommy Love,
GM
certified sales consultant. Joining
the sales team in 2002, Tommy has been sales person of the month
multiple times. |

Jim Franklin,
GM
certified sales consultant. Jim
joined the sales team in 1991 and has been sales person of the month
multiple times. |

George Moore,
GM
certified
sales consultant, Internet Manager. George
has been with the sales team since 2006. |

John Bennett,
sales consultant. John
joined the Superior sales force in 2007. |

Finance |

Rex Johnson,
finance manager.
Rex is a 20 year army veteran and has
has been in the car business for over 14 years and over 11 years in
finance. Rex joined the Superior team in August of 2001. |

Service |

Jimmy Chavis,
service director. Jimmy
has over 35 years of experience. He joined the Superior Motors
team in 1988. Jimmy is I-CAR Certified. GM Service Manager certified
and a graduate of the University of Automotive management. |

Mandy Evans,
service consultant. Mandy
has been with the Superior team since 2005. |

Parts |
 |
Kenny Mack,
parts manager.
Kenny graduated from Garrett High
School and attended the College of Charleston. He been with
Superior Motors since 1980. His hobbies include golf and football.

Valerie Myers,
parts consultant. Valerie
graduated from Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School in 1986. She has been
in the automotive parts industry since 1987. She joined the Superior
motors team in 2001. Her hobbies include NASCAR racing and boating. |

Rebecca Reid,
parts consultant. Rebecca
rejoined the Superior team in 2006. |

Offices |

Shannon Wiles,
controller. Shannon joined
Superior Motors in 1981. He worked in all areas of the office before
becoming Comptroller in 1984. Shannon is a member of the GM Business
Managers Council and has been awarded the Professional Level award for
many years. |

Paul Smallwood,
dealership coordinator/IT manager.
Paul graduated with an
associates degree in accounting and joined the Superior Team in 1991.
He has experience in many aspects of the dealership and has been
awarded many certifications from GM and DaimlerChrysler. He received
his Professional Personal Computer Technician Diploma in 2006 from
PCDI School of Information Technology. Paul has also received
training and taken many courses in computer networking, programming
and web design. |

Kim Baker,
assistant office manager, payroll.
Kim graduated from Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School and joined the
Superior Team in 1998. Kim has attended the University of South
Carolina. She has experience in many aspects of the office and was
promoted to assistant office manager and payroll manager in 2004. |

Doris Judy,
title clerk. Doris became a team member in 2004. |

Christie Canaday,
cashier. Christie
became a team member in 2006. |
 |
Joanne Thomas,
receptionist. Joanne joined the team in 2006. |
